MERLOT GRAPES

Merlot with balance, depth, and real potential.

Our Merlot grapes grow in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA, part of Eastern Washington’s Yakima Valley AVA. Expect a classic Merlot profile (plum, black cherry, and a hint of cocoa) with the balance to shine in blends or as a stand-alone wine.

Terroir that brings out Merlot’s best

Planted in 2010 across a little over a half acre, our Merlot is grown in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA, part of Washington’s acclaimed Yakima Valley AVA.

The vineyard’s elevation and sun exposure support slow, even ripening with steady acid retention, which is especially important for Merlot’s balance and structure.

“We’ve produced several award-winning wines from their grapes.”

Their prices are very reasonable compared to bigger name vineyards, yet the farming practices and fruit quality are absolutely on par with the best in the state. You get premium fruit without the premium price tag.
